Knit Your Magic Loop Socks
KYSO2 February 24, March 3 & 10 6:00 - 8:00
Instructor: Susan Forbes (Fairy Yarnmother)
Cost: $45
Prerequisite/Skill Level: motivated Beginner to Intermediate knitter
Materials: One long circular needle, size 1 to 3, should be at least 36 to 40 inches long (your personal preference), This is the perfect class to use the sock blank dyed up in Susan’s earlier class (Paint Your Yarn Blank) or bring 100 grams of sock yarn (such as Trekking), 4 feet of waste yarn, stitch markers, scissors. Susan will have a variety of sock blanks if you wish to buy one for $24 (discounted from regular price of $28).
Class Description: This class will use one long circular needle to knit a pair of socks at the same time. Susan has designed a simple sock pattern to show off her handpainted yarns so that you can make a unique work of art for your feet. The sock has an afterthought heel and the pattern is designed to be adjusted to fit your foot. The advantage of the magic loop technique is that you can knit the socks together and the shaping on both socks will be exactly the same. So, join our class and never worry about that pesky “second sock syndrome”…. or trying to match up the 2nd heel…. or dropping stitches off those slippery, old, double pointed needles again.
